I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8, and after that, my keyboard and touchpad weren't working. I had to re-format my computer, now it's all good.

Did anyone else have this problem, or a similar case?

I am using Windows 7 still and am happy with it. I have used Windows 8 on my friend's computer but didn't liked it much.

It's take a while to get used to Windows 8 I guess. I shifted from Vista to 8 when I first got my laptop, so you can imagine lol..

I'm not a big fan of the new "sleek" interface. Sure its modernized, but that doesn't mean its good. It's also not so user friendly. I hope by Windows 10 (lol they skipped 9) they fix everything (making it more user friendly).

I honestly can't standing using anything less than 8.1(even 8 is annoying) because the OS is just that good to me.

I love Windows 8.1. It took me less than a day to get used to it, although I suppose some people are different and more attached to Windows 7. 🙂

I think Windows 8.1 looks awful to be honest. I have never liked it.The layout is really weird. So on that note I am waiting till Windows 10 to come out.

To me, Windows 8.1 is kind of better. At least I can close out of those Metro apps when I accidentally click one now.

Plus I tried installing Windows 7 on this laptop and it's missing some very essential drivers, which makes it hard to load them (USB 3.0 drivers, wi-fi, etc.).

What is the difference between 8 and 8.1?

Not much that can be seen immediately, from what I can tell. I know they brought back the Start button, but I'm not sure really.

Can you download other browsers like Firefox?

I was a bit worried because I couldn't see room for chrome and stuff like that.🙂

Personally I think windows 7 is the best, but its all about preference.
I can't wait till windows 13, hope it'll come out on friday the 13th, that would freak a lot of people out.

-- 01 Dec 2014, 01:37 --

people seem to be afraid of the number 13
