I heard that all Windows 8 Tablets can use existing Windows software since Windows 8 is like Windows 7, but with a Tablet interface, and there are already a lot of free and open source software like OpenOffice, Gimp, FileZilla, VLC, etc which work on Windows, so there is not much point in buying paid apps when a free or open source software for Windows works for it already.
I bet a lot of the free software makers will eventually make a skin/theme for Windows 8 users to make using it easier on a touch screen user interface.
I think there probably be more people who buy paid apps because of more Windows 8 users, but the percentage of people who pay for apps on Windows may be lower since there are a lot of free and open source alternatives to paid apps in Windows.
Android users sometimes don't have many free alternative for paid apps, and might only have a paid app as a choice because no one made a free app alternative to a paid Android app yet, and some of the free apps on iOS, and Windows Phone are not ported to Android yet.
