Working on simplifying the registration page ATM, thoughts?

It's really nice! I would go with lighter background though, to gray for me. 😛

But other than that, the simplified registration page is really nice, wish that was the default. 😛 Good luck with the theme. 😀 Cannot wait to see the finished product. ^.^

@Thomasss - Thanks! I agree about the color, which is why I changed it back to white a little while ago. 😀

Here's a little update:

Changed the text to be a bit more informal and friendly, and turned it into a modal instead of a seperate page.

Things look good so far, I hope to see further improvements and additions shared here.

Will you be releasing this publicly?

It'll be free, so yes. :nyan:
Also, I'd like it if you guys could tell me what you would prefer more on the submit registration button - START POSTING, START DISCUSSING, or... something else entirely?

Oh that looks amazing. 😱 I love little popups with that with some of the information on the side, much more professional than a popup with a bunch of forms. xD

Keep up the awesome work. 😀

Thanks! I'm just about done with the registration modal (just a couple more very small edits) and then I'm gonna move on to the header. :nyan:

Oh sweet! What plans do you have for the header?

Maybe 'Get Registered' would work best?

Hm. Nah, that's boring. Also sounds kinda weird IMO. But since I'm going to be releasing this, I'll go with 'SIGN UP' for now and the forum owners can personalize it based on their niche or whatever.

Add some icons to make it look more professional. Icons always do a very nice job when we talk about websites.

Rework the borderline for categories, it is far away too white for them. You have a #DDD border and the overall design is darker and make it look very ugly

Um, I'm already using FontAwesome icons... [see: header]

Already got rid of the border...

Working on loading latest discussions into the sidebar ATM.

Minor updates - aligned search bar properly, edited the welcome block a bit more, made the sidebar collapsible, added new forum icons, and changed the text style:

Thoughts?

Looks like a nice clean theme. Very nice.
As I always do, I recommend theme developers make any theme mobile ready for that added advantage.

I do intend on making it responsive... eventually. 😀 I'll probably start soon by turning the <table>'s into <div>'s.

Looks really nice, a demo would be nice sometime too, it can help with feedback. But I understand you probably don't want to do that so early.

Thanks!

I'll release a demo once it's done or close. ATM there's really not much to see besides what I've already shown here.

Seems pretty typical, which is fine if you have a really interesting community but an average community and an average skin is kind of dull imo.

Fair enough. But a lot of the elements you see now are just placeholders. The latest discussion, sidebar, for example.
