Our home desktop has a wireless keyboard for quite a long time now. It was running good until recently when it seems to falter. It seems that it couldn’t cope with my speed in typing. And sometimes it stops for a few second, a pause that it wouldn’t accept any key. Now I am thinking of getting a wired keyboard because it is getting inconvenient when it suddenly would falter.

Does your keyboard require a battery? Maybe it hasn't been charged/replaced for a while leading to those problems. however, as you said it is a bit old, so maybe it is time to buy a new one. If you're okay with wires, then go for it.

Get yourself a mechanical keyboard. They are the best thing to use. I paid $150 for mine and I don't regret it at all.

Yes, my wireless keyboard uses an energizer AAA battery. At first, I thought it was the battery so I changed it. But it seemed to have no change in the operation. By the way, the battery is not rechargable. My suspicion now is the anti-virus because when the trial period had expired, we just re-installed it. And that was the time that the keyboard started acting up. That condition remains until now and if it will not improve then I probably would buy a wired keyboard. But not that $150 worth, huh, that's exorbitant for me.
