Wireless printer for the network

Is anybody here using a wireless printer at home? This is the issue in one radio program last weekend about the abuse of people on technology. Starting with the gadget particularly testing, etc. When the discussion came to the wireless printer, the moderator said that there are homes with only 1 computer but using a wireless printer. And it dawned to me that wireless printers are designed for the network. So why buy it for your home use when you have only 1 computer?
