Wober is back! [Rebranded and relaunched as Off Topix]

Greetings,

I have some exciting news, the Wober Discussion Community has been revived! The database has been restored and all member accounts created before August 13th 2015 have been preserved.

The Wober Discussion Community launched almost 13 years ago and it was a thriving community from 2009 until 2016.

After a 6 year hiatus, we’ve rebranded the entire forum and relaunched under a new name, Off Topix!

The domain we used to use expired and was purchased by someone else. Actually I think it’s changed hands a couple times since I last owned it. Of course I could have registered a similar domain incorporating the name “Wober” but I thought a rebrand was due because it’s been so long since been around. The name “Wober” doesn’t have the same brand recognition it once had. Our new name is much more fitting for a general discussion community.

That's a shame about the domain name.

I personally would have tried to keep some form of the Wober branding to preserve it's unique identity from the past.

Nonetheless, good luck with it.

Yes, the email has been effective in getting a few old members back.

Thanks for the input. Changing from a nonsensical made up word to more a professional brand shows we’re all grown up now. 😀

I didn't realize Offtopix was Wober! I wish I joined back in the day but I'm happy to be part of the community now. 🙂

Wow, Chatting Time is back, wober is back. This is awesome all the old-timers are returning to the forum scene!
