Woman may have given birth in cemetery in western Sydney

POLICE are investigating claims a woman has given birth in a cemetery in western Sydney.

Police received a call about 5.15pm (AEST) today saying a woman was in labour in Rookwood Cemetery at Rookwood.

The woman was about to or had already given birth to a baby, the caller claimed.

A police search team is currently searching the cemetery.

If the woman wasn't able to get to the hospital in time, I would agree that calling 911 is a good idea.

I guess the child could go around saying he was born in a cemetery. People may consider him a ghost or a zombie. :O

It's actually a bad idea. Since it'll get you know where. The Australian Emergency number is 000 .

Regardless if you call or not, a woman will give birth to that child. Calling the emergency line wouldn't do much good; if she's in labour, then she's in labour. There isn't an on/off switch to cater for pregnant women regardless of the situation.

Indeed.
But Australia has been plagued oin American culture so much so that 911 will redirect you to 000. 🙁 :/

Culture probably wouldn't be the right word to use; more US media/entertainment.
