I want some featured posts on my home page.

Anyone know how to get it like this? www.delblogsque.com? If you look underneath the slider thing, where all posts have a thumbnail and little description.

Is it a plugin?

In most of my experience, I've found the most reliable way to get featured posts is by using a theme that includes them build in. Even if you don't like those themes, you may be able to take the code apart and implant it in your own theme.

I seem to remember trying to find plugins, but none of them working, but I can't remember, its been a while since I used wordpress.

Like suggested above, it's usually found already built into themes. However, you can try searching the plugins database for any "Recent Posts" widgets. They have a huge selection so I'm sure you can find one.

There are a lot of free theme which will let you display featured posts on your home page. your best bet is downloading a theme which supports it and install it!

That's a theme layout. I have a similar one on my Future website.
