Ok I need help in how to link my wordpress script with my wordpress blog.

Ok I download the script from wordpress.org and upload via my FTP account.

Then I register a blog at wordpress.com so how do I link it together?

Posted with TouchBB on my iPhone

What do you mean by "link it together"? Could you please expand on that?

If you're talkig about just putting a link to one blog from the other you can do that by adding a link in the blogroll widget.

If you're trying to display the posts from one blog on the other, here's the thing:

WordPress.com is a remote hosted blog solution. Aka your blog is hosted on thier servers, like blogger.

WordPress.org is the self hosted solution. It's hosted on your own hosting account, under your own domain, and you have complete control over it.

I don't think that you can sync a WordPress.com blog to display posts on your own hosted WordPress blog. If you wish to display posts from one blog on another I think you'll have to copy them by hand.

is wordpress.com dofollow or nofollow?

Sorry to hijack, I'm also looking for a free blog host to start a companion blog for my site's news and stuff and wordpress keeps coming up as a popular one.

Its most likely dofollow, although PageRank shouldn't be your first priority when starting a blog. If its linked to your website, then you should get traffic from the forum to the blog, which in turn is more important than PR. A healthy and active blog, overall, is much better than traffic or PR.

I believe WordPress.com blog comments are nofollow, so when someone leaves a comments and puts their url in, it wont affect your rank. The blogroll and other links that you put inside a page or past are dofollow.

By default, all outgoing links in a self hosted WordPress blog are dofollow. If you wish to make comment links nofollow check for a plugin that does exactly that.

Hope that helps. 🙂
