The Smart Slider plugin I'm using for my church's website is not truly WYSIWYG, and that's disappointing. I mean, it tries, but when I go to my phone to view, it's not the same as what I see in the program.

So is there a more updated slider that is actually drag and drop and WYSIWYG?

I realize it's been a while so I'm not sure if you ended up finding anything yet, but I think MetaSlider works well. Another one I've heard about but haven't used is Revolution, though that one is a premium plugin.

Thanks!! I ended up just playing with the existing slider and settling for what I got. I think in the future I'll do away with the slider all together when I get a new theme for the site.

You might want to check out some plugins like Elementor, which comes with a convenient slider feature, or LayerSlider. They both make it easy to customize your site with their drag-and-drop capabilities and offer what you see is what you get experience. Plus, they’re designed to work well on all devices, so everything will look great whether people are on a phone, tablet, or computer.

try Generate Press and Generate Blocks. Can make your own slider with Query loop. Way more lightweight then using a plugin
