Things are really heating up between WordPress and WPEngine.

Is this the end of WordPress? Hopefully not!

People don't abandon new technology overnight. Node.js/express/NextJs are popular and efficient but still hasn't dethroned WordPress as the platform behind the majority of the internet.

Most people want easy, and honestly, WordPress is easy.

But is it the beginning of the end of WordPress?

What do you guys think?

I hope we're not seeing the end of WordPress.

No offense to WPEngine but could you imagine only being able to use a WP-like system if you pay for it as a SaaS platform?

I think it might be time for open-source coders to create a fork of WP or something like that to offer just in case WP does go down.

I think Matt needs to focus on making WP better and forget the WPEngine nonsense. He is kind of making himself look bad especially since he lost the court battle.

I think the WPEngine thing was something more than happened behind the scenes that we probably won't ever know about.

I don't think it's the end for WordPress just yet. While new technologies are exciting, many still appreciate WordPress's simplicity and familiarity. It's been a cornerstone for so long, and I believe it will continue to evolve alongside emerging trends.
