Does anyone here use and is good at coding WordPress?

I have it installed at my site, and using the http://guff.szub.net/2005/02/26/the_excerpt-reloaded/ - Which creates an excerpt of the post and a 'Read More' link.

I got all the styling to work apart from the <p> tags, could anyone help me?

I noticed the same problem on a Wordpress style I recently made for someone, managed to show excerpts by changing a line in index.php and adding some stuff in functions.php, yet it removes all formatting and images from the post.

Wordpress in general is a great software though, it's a real shame they don't show excerpts by default. Also, it's a shame the default styles are so poorly structured, makes customising take about 5 times longer than it should.

Have you considered using the "More" tag

in WP Dashboard > Write a Post?
