I use WordPress for all my blogs. I love it! 😀

Here's the only plugin you need: Traffic Getting SEO Plugin.

Yeah, I know you have to provide your name and email to get the plugin but it's worth it. It's provided by Jeff Johnson and he hasn't spammed me yet. 😉

It's got some great features and it allows you to configure your ping, your urls, and other plugins to optimize your blogs seo. This is the first plugin I install on a new blog, both for clients and my own. :great:

I think a common knowledge of writing logs and journals is needed. Depending on the type of blog, speak from the heart and make yours unique.

I do have 2 blogs, just speak about stuff that interests you, speak from the heart as Dot David mentioned, make it different from others by postings pictures using tags, but I can't say that most satisfied WP users don't do this.

I did have a diary one year which I updated most days. Is this useful?

It can be, but it depends on the diary and the genre. But generally, keeping it factual but bias will get you somewhere. Just keeping it factual and only facts will bore users.
