While there is no such thing as putting too much work into a forum, I wouldn't encourage you to no-life it.

I'd say so. People spend more time trying to build their communities, like installing every single modification they can find, and forget to stop and enjoy their forum.

For affecting your IRL life (socially, health-wise), then yes.

I'm a firmly believer in working hard, but not so hard that it is to the detriment of your health, education or your family. It's also important to remember that it is very difficult to make money from forums, so it might not be wise to depend on them for your sole source of income.
