This was the topic on one local radio program the other day. That US has additional sanctions on North Korea may cause a retaliation with a missile attack. And that will escalate to a world war when sympathetic countries join the fight. China will side with North Korea and UK will join forces with America. It is a possible scenario but I'm not expecting it to happen soon. What do you think?

WW3 has been a subject for awhile now. I am hoping that this doesn't turn into a self fulfilling prophecy by those who want it to happen, or by those who think it will happen.

I agree. However, World War 3 has been brewing for as far back since the iraqi war. North Korea is just stroking the pot. Sitrring the pot.
I don't want it to happen, but it's already happening so far. In Hawaii, there was a false alarm, then North Korea reported the same issue. Relations between United States and Russia is already harmed before Trump opens his mouth about Russia. It's because Obama's GOP started it. Trump is just in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and there's not a goddamn thing he can do about it. No matter how innocent Trump seems, he'll get blamed for it. But remember this: He actually wanted good relations with Russia to avoid a catastrophic battle. Thing is, Russia isn't just a small country, it's actually as big as us. And it wants a bigger foothold on the middle east - to reform Soviet Union. North Korea is the one that's the small country. And it's playing a dangerous game with U.S.
I think the probability of a third world war is about 20% or less. I believe many of these rulers are just trying to get sticks and carrots for their respective countries, knowing full well a war would probably result in their deaths or the deaths of many of their people.
Russia is wanting to put itself back on the world stage. But after the humiliation of the 90s, I can see why. That's when Putin was developed his ideas.
