worst forum software

What's wrong with something being simple? I would rather something easy to use than something difficult to use.

I'm more into advanced things than phpbb that I never have made a full site with SMF as phpbb always caught my eye. 😛 I should actually try some community board with SMF though. It seems interesting even though it's simple. Their add-on installer is easy to add.

Their plugin system is installed by default 😉.

Anyways I guess the worst imo would be .... PHPBB3.

Yes I said it phpbb3.

They are still missing default tools that anyone else has. Things like the quick reply,easy modinstaller,and their release system is to crazy.

@mike I have yet to see you install forum software yourself. I have only seen you use free forum hosts.

bahaha. Don't judge a software from what a free host gives you. It is often just watered down crap.

anyone tried lefora.com they are really bad

Oh my gosh, I considered trying to start a forum with lefora, major mistake I've ever made other than not being able to sit still with one host. Those guys are terrible and I would not recommend them to anybody. SMF all the way for me.

Well, it's still SMF, and that's all that matters to me. It may not be the actual thing, but I just wanted something that's easy to work with, even if it is a free host.

The only good thing about SMFforfree is you get SMF Gallery Pro (which isn't half as good as SMF media gallery, but whatever).

smfforfree is not software ffs.. they ar eonly a free forum host.. Not both..
