Every forum software can be hacked via link... not that hard. It's called XSS. >_>

And ima vote for phpbb3... it's just so crappy and looks so childish. 🙁

I have found it to be very complex, even in the unmodified form. Many MODs are in the default software.

People post on forums that use software they hate. It is not a real big part. This is managing your forum, not why are you posting here.

I, personally, don't think it's the worst ever, but I also think it should be locked away in a dark vault to be forgotten forever. :lol:

Because for the end user, software doesn't have much effect on the forum's community. It's only for management where preference comes into play.
 
What's the worst forum software you seen or experienced? Please give a demo link too.
 
Forumotion.

Software is self coded and so converting it is almost impossible. Little customization of the skin. Can't personally install mods. Uses parts of other software and just is a mess.
 
EzBoard. They were beyond cheapskates. They would force you to pay for many of the features available for free on most other softwares (or your forum is bombarded with ads and default crap), plus they are barely customisable.

Forumer was quite bad as well. They had little features, were barely customisable, and to show their thanks for using them for three years they were happy to stick their giant, ugly, 400x800 banner at the bottom of my forum.

Actually with a crawler (from SMF forums) you can pull the post, forums, and threads 😛 oh and users

Worst software i think issss SMF, for the past 6-8 months they had a SQL injection security and never fixed it and (I THINK) they still have it
 
Yes. nneonneo has made a converter from Forumotion (wait, this one only goes to phpBB 3), ProBoards, Forumer, Zetaboards, and more. They convert to phpBB 2 and SMF (and some go to phpBB 3). I've converted Dashing (fantanoice's forum) at its forumer and Zetaboards to MyBB through phpBB2. I also converted Resumé Bulletin (my new forum, Zetaboards) to IPB 3 through phpBB 2, then phpBB 3. I also will be converting another forum from Proboards to SMF 1.1 as well, for someone else here.
