I got an idea to discuss this while thinking about the computer I have. It's not bad, but my graphics card is bringing it down. It's a Radeon X1200 128mb, known by me as one of the worst graphics cards. Anybody think they can top that?

The Graphics card which are not made by ATI and Nvidia are pretty bad for gaming and intensive tasks like HD video playback since they sometimes don't have the speed and features needed for gaming.

S3, and Matrox are two companies I would possibly never buy GPU froms.

I also dislike integrated graphics card made by Intel, S3, and most other brands which are built-in to the motherboard since they sometimes slow down when playing HD video and most modern games.

Damn, I had a 512MB video card way back when I still had a P4...
Maybe it's time to upgrade 😀

I currently have a Radeon 6770 which I like very much, but the worst video card I've ever had is the GeForce 5200. It was ridiculously hit and miss. Some games would run very well, and some would run frame by frame. I wasn't sad to get rid of it.

I was just on the hunt the other day to buy a graphics card.

According to my fps recorder, i can go as high as 60, but as low as 0..... and 1! (Same game by the way)

Edit: NVidia GeForce 8500

Yeah, the GeForce 8500 isn't much of a gaming card. I would get a newer GeForce or Radeon.

I can live with just about anything other than Intel integrated

HD4000 outperforms some entry level dedicated cards, certainly not as bad as you make it sound.
