I sometimes see websites which offer to submit customer's website to digg, stumbleupon, delicious, slashdot, reddit, newsvine, and more for 20 dollars for 50 social bookmark site submission.

Aren't most of the reliable social bookmark sites nofollow meaning sites that are submitted via digg, stumbleupon, etc would not get much link juice?

I can usually submit my own sites to social bookmarking sites like digg.com for free, but it probably take me a few hours to days to submit to 100 social bookmarking sites.

If you have 10,000 links up on them, and each had a minute amount of link juice, it would all add up. You aren't going to just get results in a week of social media marketing, its a long term thing and not just a one person thing, a whole world thing.

It will get you traffic! it's not about link juice
also, yes, you can submit your website your own, but such companies have great accounts with many followers/friends etc .. that will get you more traffic ..

No it isn't. Do it yourself, save some money.

You guys make some good points.

If I can get someone with a lot of Followers like Ashton Kutcher who has 1 Million+ followers on Twitter. I probably get some more traffic.

But, I got a feeling a lot of the top twetters like Ashton Kutcher won't "pay to twett"

I notice social bookmarking campaigns I did in the past did not have good results since my accounts have zero followers, but It was free and I got an extra 10+ visitors to my sites which isn't much according to Google Analytics.

Posting links in Yahoo Answers resource box and posting Youtube videos with my link in the video description and my channel homepage also seem to bring in an extra few visitors.

I do it and It has bought a lot of traffic to my previous sites.

Should I submit an article like example.com/my-article.htm on my website to the social bookmarking services instead of my domain name like example.com?

I notice on Digg, and other social sites articles like "How to get rich from Twitter" seems to get higher amount of diggs instead of front pages unless the website is very unique or only have one page.

Could you recommend me some good social bookmarking submission companies?

A lot of people just say go on Digital Points or Rentacoder to hire someone for 5 bucks to submit my websites for me, but I'm not sure I trust strangers which I met on forums.
