Would a blog like this be good ?

I have two blogs now, thewritinghuts and otakovic, one is a poetry, story and my personal thoughts blog the other is my anime and manga reviews blog.
My idea is to merge those two and create one blog out of it, add a few more blogs like a sports blog or a book review blog and also separate my poetry and story blog with my thoughts blog. All in all I want it to be something like blog community, like all of my blogs under one domain but each of them with their own subdomain (mythoughts.thewritinghut.net animereviews.thewritinghut.net mangareviews.thewritinghut.net). And I wanted to ask you guys for advice, I mean is it a good idea to merge them all together or should I keep them like they are separated ?

For blogs I always thought it was a better idea to separate blogs by genre, mainly for organizational issues and that your readers might like one thing, but dislike the other.

I agree with keeping them separate, especially if they individually attract a lot of unique visitors. Merging should only be considered on the basis of these two interests being commonly paired. Either way, keep them as they are.
