I think if you count children who are under the working age which is 15 in most places in Canada, Retired/Senior Citizens who are 50-65 or older, disabled people who can't work because of an injury, physical(neck injury) or mental(like extreme mood swings) in public, and people who make some money online or all their money online there might be more people earning money online vs the amount of people earning money offline since you can earn money in so many ways online like Paid surveys, Neobux (Paid to click sites), Swagbucks (paid to search, shop, do offers, surveys), writing articles on Squidoo, Hubpages, Triond, eHow and other similar paid to write article sites, being a YouTube partner like Shane Dawson, Ray William Johnson, Machinima, Fred, iJustine, Revision3, Chris Prillo, etc, or writing on a Blogspot or Tumblr blog with Adsense, or your own self-hosted blog, website, and forum are also other ways to make money.

You can also make money from Clickbank, eBay, Craigslists, Amazon Marketplace, and other marketplace and Auction style websites.

Most people probably won't make enough money to quit their offline job, but they make enough money to buy luxury items like iPods, iPhones, Tablet PCs, Gaming PC, or enough to pay for web hosting and domain name, and have some money left over for food, and transportation.

Yes froggy I think people will be doing more work online in the future. I know people now who work for a company full time but spend a day or two a week at home doing their work and just connect to the home base (sounds kinda sci-fi) via computer. I believe it is the way of the future 🙂

I know of computer programmers who can just sends work back to his boss via E-mail, instant messenger or make changes to something in real time by connecting to a website, server, or computer in another location across the world.

It is actually kind of Sci-Fi if you think about it. I wonder how long in the future would we just need to use our computer at home to remotely control a robot to do basic tasks like bagging groceries, putting food on shelves, and other tasks.

If cloud/online computing becomes more popular, most office work can be done from home, but it might be more difficult to motivate employees to work faster since there is no boss to encourage people to work harder.

Well I guess its just how the Job is, if your a coal miner, I don't suppose you'll be mining coal over the internet, just as if your a banker, so yeah, 50/50.

I imagine online because it would seem like something people would do in the future.

I agree a coal miner can't really mine for coal over the internet unless in a few years people can use coal mining robots which they can control from home from an internet connection.

But, banks theses days are using the internet more since costumers can transfer, and withdraw money from their online banking account. A lot of people also pay bills over the internet instead of standing in line, and paying bills at the bank. Banks also have online e-mail support when you are stuck with something on their websites.
