Would This Work?

I just had a little plan where a forum could be opened and me and a team could post articles in areas for different genres of discussion. Instead of it been a forum for members to come and post, the topics would be well written to hit different parts of forums genres. Therefore it is like a free service that has free articles that can be copied from that forum to the user that is viewing the articles' forum. This would generate new content for the new forums.

I think this could work well. What are your views?

but it seems more of a Blog then a forums

It should work. If we look around the web and study many successful forums, we will find that the forums started life as a branch of a blog or static page.
