Would you ask AI for relationship advice?

I saw a post on a Facebook group the other day that because this couple was having an argument and they asked AI what they should do - that the AI bot told them to take a two week break and they actually listened to the bot.... 😂

Would you ask AI for relationship advice?

That’s something I usually ask my friends for. I mean I guess maybe it could help more since there’s a ton of information it could give but I don’t know if I’d ever use it. 😅

That's true. It could really come up with some amazing advice, but it's ultimately up to us whether to take it or not.

I never thought of asking AI about that type of advice. That's funny that they listened to AI though in the OP.

I think if I asked AI about my real life problems, that it would be how to get us to communicate better between ourselves. I mean, we've been married since 1990 and dated for 6 years and sometimes we're known for expecting the other person to just understand. Our daughter laughs at us because my husband will say, "what about that thing?" and it's so random but I know exactly what he's talking about...sometimes...just sometimes, but when I don't know, then it's frustrating.

Eh I don't think I would take advice like this from AI lol. I would rather figure it out on my own or possibly with the help from a professional like a therapist. Or even advice from a friend or family member.

I’d use AI for perspective, not decisions. It can help me think through situations, suggest ways to communicate, or see different angles. But for real choices, I’d rely more on personal judgment and advice from people who know me and the relationship.

No. It's too sycophantic. It will only give information I (or my partner and I) want to hear, not what we need to hear.

Probably not. I'd rather get information from other human beings who have probably experienced what I have, or at least a similar situation, for a better perspective from someone who understands what I'm going through.
