I've been thinking about it for maybe the last six months or so. Nothing drastic, just something more in line with how I introduce myself and how people actually know me, though keeping every element of my original name in tact, just adding to it...

What about you guys?

I'm not really sure why I would. I understand why other people would want to do it, but I just don't see that as something that I'd like to do.

Fair enough, see I'm not really known by my legal first name, these days. So I'm thinking of adding the name I'm known as to make things easy -as it's currently not actually a part of my name in any capacity and then moving my legal first name to be a middle name.

That makes sense. I just go by "John", which is just a shortened version of my real name. That's why I don't personally want to do it.

I do know someone who changed their name to two made up words and they call it an expression of their individualism...

I seen an video Yesterday about it and as for me.. Nope It was my given name from my mum and I respect that

I don't really have a problem with my name. It's not all too interesting, but it's fair enough and I like the idea of sharing my surname with the rest of my family. So I wouldn't do it personally, but I can understand that other people have reasons to do so.

has any family members you know that chnaged there names

Not that I'm aware of, outside of getting married and changing surnames (which is something I don't believe in, and my wife didn't do as she doesn't either...)

I'm actually debating it when I turn 18. I want to change my name to my middle name so when I get married next year, it'll sound better.

I definitely wouldn't do it illegally!

But nah, I like my name. It's a good name! Such a good name that every other person has it, haha.
