Would you guys buy a host that you pay as you go? No wasted resources, no overages, etc. I think it's pretty unique, and it's not a cloud server I'm buying either.

I think this is probably a good idea if you are not going to be using many resources, but as your site starts becoming larger and receives more traffic and needs more diskspace etc, it will be cheaper to pay normally. Another problem I see is that if one month I suddenly gets lots of traffic, I would have to pay the extra for that.

However, this is not an idea I have seen before, and I am sure it attracts some customers.

I've heard of this idea, likek I've heard of it being thrown around, but this is the first time I've ever seen it being implemented like this. Not sure if it's something I would go for or not. I think this is for people who don't plan on having an overly active forum. Of course, that sort of describes me because I don't really want an overly active forum, just the same...

These services might cost alot of money depending on the price and your sites traffic.
I have seen some around.
Carn't remember there domains.

It all depends on the prices because if your charging like 1$ for 1GB disk space, and my site has 10GB its going to be 10$ a months and other host are much cheaper then that even if they oversell.

Also if your get 500 Hits one day then suddenly traffic increases to 1000 Hits/Secound that would cost more.

It depends.

Bad idea cause a website can get traffic spikes and then you get suspended.

Assuming you mean to limit the bandwidth and other resources to the minimum a site of a certain age would need to run.

Also you wouldn't be able to beat the competition that does over selling or just offering alot more for less money.
