Would you rather eat only pizza for a year or not eat any pizza for five years?
Since I rarely eat pizza anyways, I’ll go for not eating any. There are other ways to have the ‘taste’ of pizza with seasonings so for those who’d miss it, that would be an option.
You can do all sorts of things to make Pizza! It's not just a heavy crust and heavy cheese any more if you don't want it that way!
I make a really fun veggie pizza every couple of years for family gatherings and it's made with crescent rolls, ranch dressing, sour cream and tons of chopped up veggies.
Then there are cauliflower crusts for pizzas for those on the no carb diets.
Dessert pizzas? You got it! They're really cool.
Of course there are different styles of regular pizza as well. One of my favorites is an Italian style pizza Pizza Tonda Romana...and I mean truly Italian. Our friends from Italy make this and it's a super thin crust somewhat like a cracker.
Deep dish? They're okay (and I'm from the Chicagland area). But have you tried a STUFFED Pizza? Oh my. Eat one slice and you've had a day's calories. But so worth it.
How about Quad City style? That's my absolute favorite and I can't find it where I live so I make my own. It has crumbled sausage spread throughout.
Then there are the different flavor types...pepperoni, Hawaiian (not for me), pesto, the list goes on and on.
I can't imagine going too long without pizza and it's really easy to eat it only for a year when you can figure out how to cook it in many different ways!
