Would you rather listen to your least-favorite song on a loop for a year or never listen to any music at all for a year?
Never listen to any music. Years ago I would’ve answered differently but even though I have some songs I like to play, I rarely listen anyways.

I would have no music at all for a year, Put this song in your head and listen for a year.

The song should come with a government health warning. Once heard it can never be unheard. You have been warned!!!

Neither for the reason that it is called "noise torture". It's not healthy for anyone to subject themselves to mental abuse even if that's being forced to stay in a room and having to listen to a looped song or noises of a dying or screeching animal over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over.

Symptoms that Noise Torture can induce.
Loud or frightening sounds have also been shown to strengthen the effects of other torture methods, such as sleep deprivation. They can drown out the inner thoughts of detainees, resulting in loss of orientation and even hallucinations, according to research by Suzanne Cusick, professor of music at New York University.
Studies show that this type of “sensory overload” – playing very loud music for long periods of time – can be a fast way to “break” a prisoner because the loud noise stops the psychological process of orientation, making it hard to distinguish between reality and to resist questions from captors.

The CIA did this to prisoners over in Guantanamo Bay. They'd place you in the Blackout Box.

In WACO, they played recordings of screaming rabbits to get people to leave the compound.
In 1993, the FBI blasted rabbit screams, along with dentists' drills, babies' cries and the like, into the Texas compound of David Koresh's Branch Davidian cult, during a 51-day siege that ended in flames.

Sound torture was demonstrated in The Walking Dead where Darrell is locked in a room and forced to listen to a song an infinite amount of time during his imprisonment.
