The escalator is good for those with claustrophobia. To me, I can choose either. But I think I’d pick the elevator as it may not be as crowded.

It doesn't bother me either way. I can see not wanting to use the elevator if you are claustrophobic, especially if there is a lot of people crammed into that elevator. If you are on an escalator then there is no excuse for someone to be right up on you.
