The olden days we had rocking chairs. Years ago, we had bought a glider & the difference is amazing! No more jerky movements lol
I have flown a great looking glider in the simulator and we all glide around in toy planes 😛 - No Chair 😛

I had to Google that one, it's something I've always associated with flying like @Empire. I've also never sat in a rocking chair so I can't compare the two but if I do find a need I'll take your advice and try the glider first 🙂
I bought a glider 25 years ago and it's still my favorite piece of furniture to sit on! I added more stuffing to it and have steam cleaned it multiple times so it's looking really good.
We have rocking chairs for outside on the back deck and those are oversized so they're nice and comfy with cushions...but the cushions are only for the seat and not the back. I need to sew some for the backs and they'll be good too. I bring them inside for winter and then tighten up all the connections before placing them back out on the deck in the spring. The rock really well so maybe it's a matter of quality of how rockers are made?
