Would you sell your forum if you got a reasonable offer?

My forum is bigger than money. I'd turn down big offers for my poker forum if I receive any in the future. I want to see my goals through, and always own my community. I also have a huge vision, and I know there is a ton of potential in my community.

How about you? Would you ever sell your forum?

That honestly depends on the money. If someone offered you 10k or even 100k, you’d be a fool not to take it.

This is more like people understanding that there is a price for every item out there. 100k is a big money, and if anyone would offer that to buy a forum, the forum owner should give it a consideration.

Ha, I gave Crafter Craze away LOL

If I owned Christianity Haven, I guess I wouldn't sell unless I was hard up for money, or absolutely disgusted with my members that I wanted to rid my hands of the place. As an Admin there, I expect the owner to remain active in some capacity, or at least give me full permission to do whatever I wanted with the place, including setting all rules and bans, etc... If the owner wanted to sell, I'd be okay with it as long as it was written in the contract that I couldn't be fired 😉

When you invest your love in creating a forum, it might be a little difficult to sell it. But if it's a good offer, why not? I’ll sell it and create a new one.

I would only sell my forums if something happened to me and I couldn't be an admin anymore. Other than that no amount of money would get me to budge and sell my forums.

I have sold my forums multiple times, and I recently sold one. I have no issue in selling as I can always build another.

I have just started but if I get good price I might sell it and use the funds for another forum

If I got an offer in the region of $1k, I would gladly sell my forum. It is not a forum that has that much engagement. Sell it off and create another.

Some people cannot be bought.

There are people like this and there is nothing wrong with that. The most important thing is making it clear that you are in the business of selling forums so that interested buyers would always reach out.

I would question the sanity of anyone offering enough money like to make me stop and consider it a great offer, as the only community I have properly owned didn't make it big even when I was at the time giving it my best years, hahaha.

The only community I am staff at the moment I am not the owner but it is still pretty dear to me as it is a piece of history I have shared for decades.

I have mixed feelings.
That's not going to happen as I am not the only admin but if it's within my power, I will certainly think about it.

I would probably do it if I got a reasonable offer.

I think it depends on the person and the offer they were given.
