It depends... If i think i could stop it i would but if someone is being beaten up by 4 big guys with baseball bats i would stay out as i wouldn't be able to stop it.

Thing is, If I call the police, I will have it in my mind that, what happens if the guy/girl dies by the time the police come...

So I would have to do something, from shouting at them taking a photo of them or making them go after me, to jumping in if i thought i could protect the person...

Male or female, same thoughts.

I'd give the police a call. THEN go help, but i'm female and whoever it was would they really want to take on ANOTHER person. I doubt it. The whole attacking thing usually works when there is one victim. If you have more than that then it's starting to even odds out more. Even if it's a short female. I'd feel horrible if I stood by and did nothing. I'd have to do something to intervene.

As Van1lla said, if a guy is roughing a girl up then I'd step in no matter what... if it's two guys fighting then just let them deal with it.. you can't take sides in something like that because you don't know why they are fighting in the first place..

I'd call the authorities but in most cases ( minus guy hitting a woman ) I'd just let them deal with it amongst themselves.

The amount of people who have been killed in Norwich by trying to help people whilst theyre being beaten up is shocking. Dont try to be a hero get help fast.

Nope, depending on and asessing the situation at hand, I'll draw my firearm first before my cell.

The typical response time for law enforcement is anywhere from 5min-2hrs

Hell, even 1 min is to late.

Better late than never doesn't apply to life threatening situations.

You need to react and adapt to your surroundings.

If someone breaks into our house, since we are very well defended, we have all decided not to let the intruder leave, ever.

Thats what shovels and a backyard is for.

You either leave your life in your hands or place it in someone elses.

And I wouldn't place mine in anyone's.
