I just finished getting approved. So you can get paid to post and other people can get paid to post on your site?

Is it worth purchasing the list upgrades or should I just focus on getting points for the forum?

What if you have no points? Users still get paid right?

Yup. It's a great system and it's automated. 🙂

Not sure how the postloop economy these days. I'm sure if you are allowing for a reasonable number of daily posts and good points, people will signup.

When I used it you could go slightly into negative balance before it stopped paying I think.

Well I let a promo run with 250 points and the option for users to get paid for unlimited posts to see what would happen.

It was wild. I had 20 new people join. Most posted less than 10 posts each, not including the auto introduction thread that gets generated when they register. A few posted more and made the forum a lot of fun for others. It also ran all day long till I got home from work. All of the content that was posted was quality posts and the writers were really wonderful. A few really liked my board and I got some comments and messages back from them on PL about my site and how wonderful it was.

I have now set it up with a limit of 10 posts/day and since the storm of new posters traffic has gone down some from PL to a steady amount. I may limit down to 5posts/day later but I'm going to let them have 10 for now.

So far I like it. It's a great way to get my site known and add really quality content. I was able to write feedback to writers and rate their contributions. I have about 25 new subscribers and I'm pleased so far. It is not something I could afford to do very much but it really was great to experiment with.

They do disable your listing when you are -10 points left. I have subscribed to the upgrade to give writers more points and also lose less points myself for the next week and I will see if that is worth it as well.

It's a bit weird to get the hang of at first, but it can be really rewarding for your forum and/or blog. Just make sure to monitor your current balance!

Remember to do this in conjunction with other promotional efforts to get and retain other members. Postloop is great for building activity and enticing people to join what seems like an active forum, but once the system is turned off the vast majority of the members gained through that medium do as well.

Martin is absolutely right. Like any posting service or exchange, it's great for a quick boost in activity to get some fresh content. But as soon as the money runs out, you better have another source of promotion and recruitment, otherwise your site will die.

Is postloop a good way to make money? Or to get more members to your forum, i think the members won't be active..

It depends, if one is able to get accepted into it, and is able to follow the guidelines that most forum owners have on there, then making 5-10 dollars a day is possible. BUT because they don't have as large of a forum and website base as they could, and the fact that they have a number of forums on there that restrict how much you can post, before you stop earning from them, makes it difficult to be able to earn a living off of it.

That's why when you're actively running postloop or its competitor, the forum wheel, then you should also be responding to these posters and asking them questions. That way, you can keep them more active. I'm a huge fan of posting on other forums to increase my number of points, but if i'm not in a posting mood, then I'll just outright buy more points. I believe theforumwheel is a tad bit cheaper than postloop as well.

Postloop still going great. Purchase the odd amount of points every now and then. Not sure if the upgrades work as I never purchase them and still get a considerable amount of members posting.
