[Chaos Poet]

Watching the dawn

break over the sky,

holding a mug of coffee

steaming in my hands.

Golden sunshine tints

emerald foliage

as early spring mists

shroud a waking earth.

Breathing in deeply

smell of coffee and chimes

peace fills my insides

like liquid into a glass.

This is the morning after

the rest of my life,

standing at the window

wearing your shirt.
