Wtf Hacker? An Unknown Admin~!

I recently saw in the who is online on my forums (link in my sig) an admin named phpbbmf_admin who I NEVER seen and NEVER made admin. I pmed him asking him who he is, I gave him an infraction/warning and tryed banning him but I cant T_T What's going on?

I noticed that. I am not sure to be honest, but I think dmpch790 might be right. It could be staff from the hosting.

I am pretty sure, do you have Admin History logs? If you do, look there, if something was changed there, then something happened. If not then it is most likely a Staff member

Have you checked the support forums for the host? There might be a topic there about it, as I am sure someone else got scared of that name appearing.

Chances are it's the default Admin account put there by the host. When I worked at FreeForums.org they had a hidden Admin account which they used to fix your forum once it was broke.

I wouldn't advise trying to remove it, as they'll need it if you need support. ~smile~

Yea I would do what dWhite said and just check the support forum first and search for answers there. Then email the support forum admin.

I still wouldnt like it...If I screw something up, ill fix it myself. I have trust issues though, always have. I suppose since its a free host you have to though, since some admins dont know what theyre doing.

It is good in the case of phpBB2 forums if someone gets into your account or another admin account and deletes your account. The host then might be able to give a new account of yours admin powers if you could prove that it is your forum.

Yes he is the main staff admin... from the host ur using.... cause i have seen such admins too on the host i was using before
