ww2 vs www

Say, if I have a domain under abc123...and the domain www.abc123.com resolved to my website, but ww2.abc123.com resolves to a different page...is the abc123.com domain owned by 2 different people?

I'm pretty sure ww2 is just a subdomain that people use for some reason.

Cody is right. For instance:

adminforum.com is the main forum or whatever else is on it.

ww2.adminforum.com is a blog for articles and tutorials or whatever else.

It is usually used for load balancing on servers as-well, which is for larger sites.

Its a sub domain that tell you on which server you are on. Large corporations use this for load balancing as said above
