Well, about three days ago the three owners of the site, Demon, Hendrix, and myself decided to move to vBulletin. The down fall was losing all our members. But since last night, demonflicks has been such a major hit. Heres our Forum Satistics as of now.

I'm so proud of my staff and our members for helping to support us. Also for forumpromotion for that extra boost. People come and join us, were doing great and invite everyone with a warm welcome. 😀

WOWZERS!

how did you get so many members so quickly and so many people viewing so fast?

I wanna know 😀

Good work by the way -!-

Honestly, it happened out of nowhere last night. Then since that gave the staff a boost of confidence they went promoting. I really don't know, but I thank my staff. What I can tell you, is try all major video sites. http://www.youtube.com http://www.veoh.com http://www.dailymotion.com and etc. Make an account and promote your site. 😀

We also have a contest going for members. Whoever gets the most refferals wins $50.00 and a 4GB Flash Stick. I googled top movie sites and etc yesterday. So yeah, were doing everything we can.

I do have a sponsor section and it will be open soon to any site. 😀 So yeah, keep in touch. I will be more then happy to help anyone. 😀

Did it just go down? - Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at demonflicks.com.

N/M, it's back now.

Probably should remove them. The forum looks pretty good.
Did you really start just Febuary 21st, '08?

For so many members you don't have many posts.

And you seem to be linking to pirated films, which is actually illegal and police have closed down, raided and arrested people who run sites like that - http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2007 ... edia.media - one example from the UK

Dunno if this makes them entirely exempt but there is a disclaimer at the top, and it states clearly that it doesn't host these movies/shows, just provides links to popular sites like veoh (which are well known).

Which, well, is what a lot of people have done in a forum/chatroom/messenger setting.

Our site does not host illegal content. We are inlines with TOS and Copyright laws. If we were to stream the illegal content like Youtube, Dailymotion, Stage6 (No longer up), Veoh, and etc. It will 'cause a trouble.

Another thing, our site dosen't have much post, 'cause the site was re-done from phpBB3 to vBulletin, meaning we lost all our post and members.

When we set the site up again, we made a contest to help us out and it worked.

Dynasty, we switched hosting. You'll see when you start to get back on, the server is faster and the uptime is 98% and they mean it. 😀

For example: Youtube is a popular site, you can find home made videos, music videos, and etc. Our site supplies links to sites such as youtube.

Linking to sites that host the pirated content is still illegal, that was my point.

That is what TV-links was doing - linking to youtube videos and videos elsewhere on the net, but it was still viewed as illegal

Again, that is still illegal, read the link I posted.

Yes, an single link in a thread is ok, but not like the forum whereby there are many links to different movies, categorized etc.

From the article I linked to:

Sites such as TV Links contribute to and profit from copyright infringement by identifying, posting, organising, and indexing links to infringing content found on the internet that users can then view on demand by visiting these illegal sites," said a spokesman for Fact.

WE do NOT make a profit. we do not ask for any money, we do not take a profit from the site at all. AND tv links, just so happened to be based in the UK. The US offers a little more protection as the laws and stuff regarding this have yet to be passed. sure theres suits and what not against people in the states, but tell me, can you find even ONE were the person is convicted of LINKING to content? no the suits now are based on ppl who HOST the content. the most that can happen to us is that the hosting receives a complaint and we get a warning. in that case, we switch hosts. example: moviefoumz.com, they have been reported THOUSANDS of times and have yet to be removed. VBulletin doesnt touch them, their hosting doesnt touch em. so i think we're good for now.

well shut up every one
you got wicked forum GANGa

lol, mate you are using an illegal version of vbulletin. were is the vb copyright tag? been seeing that alot around here lately ~rolleyes~
