x10 Hosting?

Has anyone heard of or used x10 hosting before, i've signed up today for free hosting and wondered what kind of service i'll receive from them? I'm already impressed with the fact that it looks like paid hosting with all the control options you get.

I'm with 1and1 for my website hosting which is paid for, and you can't even install phpbb3 on that cos you don't get any sql databases with the home package i'm on!!

I have heard of them and i know quite a few people have had forums with them but i don't know how they found it though.

1&1 i have heard are pretty crap when it comes to forums as they only allow 1oomb per database which is basicly nothing as if your forum it a success you are pretty buggered.

I have used X10 Hosting before but not to host a live forum or anything but I thought it was really good.

I think you have to make around 20 posts a month though (on there forum) for it or they suspend it.

You need to visit their forum at least once within 2 weeks.

When i used it just before i posted that it was pretty fast for a free host i thought.

I'm finding them OK so far, not too shoddy at all! Sometimes a lag on pages but not enough to worry about 😉

I'll soon be joining the free hosting business in a coupleof weeks, damien has had problems with this host, and the server had a hard disk failure, so i would recommentd them.

Tho they give a good deal, forum that I installed is quite slow ~sad~ ~sad~ ~sad~ ~sad~

During the past 7 days, x10 have been down for two full days. Also, regular periods of slowness.
