XenForo 2.3 finally released!

Sucks to hear the themes break, think I got a few addons that will be lost as well.

It’s an easy fix though. I recommend DohTheme if you’re in need of someone to convert.

v2.3.0 seems to be a little more problematical to update than anything previously released. I've got a couple of mirror/test sites running neither of which I've been able to successfully upgrade yet.

I wrote a documentation a few posts above.

But a lot has changed (Javascript) that breaks things without disabling add ons and themes.

What issues are you seeing? Could be this version update needs a patch as well.

I think the problem with both upgrades is cache related. Neither site is in a rush to upgrade so I might wait until v2.3.1.

How is your cache setup? I didn’t have any problems.

I know it's a CDN/Litespeed setup but I don't usually get involved with that side of things. There's a dedicated server admin who is supposed to deal with it. I've just managed to apply one of the upgrades successfully on my personal server so I'm pretty convinced the problem is either down to caching or less likely overly aggressive ModSecurity settings.

Likely yes. I'm also cached, but all go through Cloudflare and with the right settings, upgrading shouldn't be a problem. I've seen people running Rocket Loader, which gives them some problems too.

I'm not familiar with Xenforo but seems to be a solid update, tbh.
