XenForo A Yes Or NoNo?

okay so i have a xenforo license just sitting around and im contemplating switching my forum http://adminforums.org from vb to xf. but im not sure as i like the themes for vb and Xf themes ive seen dont look too good nor are there many modifications for it and when i setup a forum to test Xf the acp was really confusing... forums are called "nodes" and the permissions are hard to set right lol and if i switch im sure everyone will lose there passwords... i need halp deciding lol

I'm not sure, I don't like it that much, the stats on in a sidebar which is alright but it's small and you go past them straight away. I prefer Vanilla to both of them but I recommend using vB over XF to be honest.
 
TBH, your forum is set out great on VB. Even though i like XF more you should stick with what you have 🙂
 
vBulletin is the best bet for AdminForums, I think.

Xenforo is nice but it's still developing. The look and feel of your
forum seems just right on vBulletin.
 
im also concerned about spam with it being on vb, iv had a few hundred of them buggers signup and post porn everywhere... every single anti-spam addon i install just dosent seem to phase them.. they just come back twice as hard 🙁
 
Spam levels isn't really software specific, you just need a simple math question that changes daily or weekly etc and that should suppress them.

i see some homophobic remarks in that thread lol

and vb isnt really working for me, its heavy server loads and random errors really tick me off and ive heard alot of good things about Xf exept the rubbish skins but that cant be helped cus its new.

thing is that our members so far are saying they would love it 🙂 so im inclined to make them happy and give them what they want but you lot are saying stay on vb so im double confused lol 😎
 
thats too close to the default theme, i already have a theme in mind 🙂 its called xen-powa.

im begining a test install and conversion now 🙂

It isn't very confusing. These guys at ForumPromotion.net aren't joining your forum.

And! Most of your members want XenForo. Do the math, 😉
 
already did, im in the process of importing user data now 🙂
