And all of this comes with it? I won't buy it but I am curious what else i must pay for. My own domain and hosting?

That's the cloud version so all you would need is to add your domain.

The self hosted version costs $160 for a lifetime licence plus a further $55 (after the first year) for a 1 year support extension. That allows you to upgrade to the latest version and get ticket support.

What does lifestime licence means?
What for is additional 55 dollars?

It means you can download the software and use that version forever.

The $55 is a yearly amount (payable after the first year) that gets you updates and access to support. You don't have to pay it if you are happy running the version you last downloaded.

But this 60 USD is hosted on their server? And I have to pay that monthly?

That's correct. So just to be clear they offer two options, hosted and self hosted. It's effectively the same software but the cloud versions has some restrictions because you can't FTP into the server.

So members won't be able to upload images as here directly in the message before posting?
Also, will I be able to move database to my own hosting once I am ready to do that or it stays there for good?

From a member's point of view, anything you can do here on this forum you can do on the cloud version. It's just that you as the admin/owner won't have direct access to the server files.

You can request a copy of your database at any time and at no cost.

That's so briliant. You absolutely lose nothing and pay only 60 dollars per month. You don't need server tweeks unless you know what you are doing.. For regular user, it's more than enough. You can install themes and plugins normally? No wonder they are expensive at some things but they offer best deal tbh.

Themes and plugins can be installed and yes I agree, it is a good option 🙂

I say self hosting is better, and if you're wanting to go with cloud hosting there are cheaper options too. Xenforo is great though, it's my second favorite paid software. If you're not familiar with self hosting, you can always ask for help! There's plenty of people here who have experience beyond installing forum software on a server.

You also have to pay for some add-ons and themes but you can get some for free.
