Does anyone here use Yahoo Answers to promote a forum or website? I have never used it but I have read a few blog posts by people who say it is very effective.

SOrry, I didn't see that topic.
I agree with Fowler's comment, apparently Yahoo bans you very quickly for spamming.

You could just make another account, until they block your IP -(- .
You could probably get away with it if you say it is your source.

Its best to answer the question and simply add your site as a resource. Just posting your site's link is tacky in my opinion

I tried this and did not have any success. Tried it for a couple months.

I also tried this, but went around it the sneaky way,i pretended to ask if anyone had come across ?????????.com.But it did not make any difference to member registration or views to site etc.

Just ask them to goto the site and they will recive?

Just post it as a resource along with some of the other sites you may include depending on the question.

I actually have found Yahoo answers quite helpful. Not only am I helping people by answering their question, (and putting my link in the sources) but I am getting free link space on a PR 9 website. I have gotten a few members (3 yesterday) that I believe found me from YA, but they haven't posted. I may just be lucky.
