This is very generous of Yahoo providing 1TB of free space for Flckr users.

I don't know many people who still use Flckr since a lot of people seem to use Photobucket, Tinypic, Facebook, Instagram, self-hosted sites, and other sites for sharing photos.

I'm not sure if many people actually store 1TB of photos online. I think 1TB of free space would be better if you can also use the 1TB of free space to store e-mail attachments on Yahoo Mail.

Nothing can stop tumblur being emptier lonelier place.... People doesn't care a TB or GB, if they got no friends to look their photos.

I agree, most people may still not use Flckr because it is not very active for a social network. I think most social network sites don't have storage limits or it is not advertise to the users since Facebook and Google+ has a lot of storage space on its servers, and making a storage limit may make users not share as much, and being inactive which would be bad for social networks since one of the main purposes of social networks is to share content in the form of text, video, photos, and audio.

Perhaps, 1TB free photo/video storage could attract users who use Dropbox, Google Drive, Rapidshare, 4Shared, etc which do have storage limits for its free accounts.
