So, over the past couple of weeks I have been working on the lawn. Fertilized part of our lawn yesterday, and am planning the other half later this week.
During weekends when I have no work, we regularly work on the plants around the house. The most difficult is the weeding which tries my patience all the time so what I do is to pull some 10 weeds and that's it for my part. With the irrigation, I am fine with the garden hose. And the best part of gardening is the harvesting of the vegetables and the fruits. We are currently having a good harvest of cashew.
Yard work can be fun, but not when you're obligated to do it. It's best done when you're completely bored. Or paid for the work. I've done it for my neighbor, and it was good until she lost the ability to walk completely. 🙁 I liked her, she was nice.
The only thing that grows at my house is the grass, which my hubby and I have to mow constantly. We have a rule, whoever works the lest amount of hours that week, gets to mow the grass. Since I normally work less hours each week (at least 99% of the time), I usually end up mowing the lawn. So what I'll do is I'll mow the lawn after I work a day shift because I normally get hot and sweaty at work anyway. Plus, I get to enjoy my days off since I normally get it over with.
Well right now I live in an apartment so nope. But even then, I'm allergic to freshly cut grass and hate the heat so I'd pay someone to come do my yard work lol.
I pretty much do most of the yard work at home. My brother tends to help out every now and then. I’ve been working on getting the lawn nice and green after a cold winter 😛
