[Yes/No] Should I change my forum's genre?

Currently it's ''Share your gaming experience'', but I have this little idea of taking off that ''gaming'' and make it like ''Share your life experience'' or something like that, like a general forums (with everything).

Yes / No ?

I'm just worried that there are already too many general forums out there.
Please share your thoughts/suggestions/ideas.

I think Yes, the URL would go better as a general discussion forum, instead of a gaming forum.

It's related to gaming a bit, there is a word 'exp' which is a common term in many games.

I think you should change it. People are more interested in general talk than gaming. I've had many gaming forums so far, so I've experienced inactivity. 🙂

I think the best thing to do is poll your members, and if you get a mixed result, start a general discussion board there, for life discussion, and if you have one already, make it more prominently appearing on your board. Then you can gradually shift it without losing the members you got already.
