You thought on Forum addict forums

My honest opinions..
 • Your site is sloppy.
 • You have bad grammar in the forum names & descriptions. Also in your own posts on the forum.
 • You say your name is "Forum Addict" but I see "Forum Advent" in the header and as the page title (which makes absolutely no sense).
 • You need an actual domain name and real hosting.
 • I dont see a single unique thing about the forum (it seems like a cumulation of other forums you are a member of).

With your open/shut tendencies, you've proven to be someone who will give up easily on your forum when it doesn't explode into an internet phenomenon overnight. Make a forum about something you are passionate about, not just something you think will attract a bunch of members.

I have to agree with theezy, there is nothing on your site that makes me want to join and I would neverr join a forum that might be closed in a week. The style is poor as well but that is more down to forumotion still trying to pass their software off as phpBB 3.0.X. In doing so they are making very shocking styles. The logo is for another site altogether and you don't have your own hosting or TLD.

No site will be an instant success so you need to stick at for the long haul. It is very rare you will get a massive site overnight.

The grammar on the forum needs improving, bad grammar on a forum puts me off from joining on a forum. Reading through some of your descriptions, and your announcements. I found several mistakes:

Forum Addict is now back we decided to stay seperate from other sites and stay as our own little forum intead [INSTEAD] there will be some majour [MAJOR] updates during the next week we allreaddy [ALREADY] Upgraded [NO NEED FOR A CAPITAL LETTER HERE] our theme we are planning on adding an arcade and much much more ! fell [FEEL] free to suggest any features within the next week its a good chance that we could acept your request and add it quicker
We are staying back bigger, better then ever
Enjoy the forum

Anything Recards [REGARDS?] Forum related stuff about PromotionRage Will [NO NEED FOR A CAPITAL LETTER] Be Posted [<<<] in this [<<]Section.

Generally your grammar is pretty poor. I would suggest using a spell checker to correct your descriptions.

I Wont be giving up this time i promise Everyone!

Forumotion forums don't seem to grow as fast as "self hosted" forums. People seem to be more attracted to something that appears to stand on its own two feet. 😛

Wonderkid Yes Thanks also send me a pm with the major grammar fixes
Thezy Advertisehotspot use to be with forumoiotn they grew fastly maybe if the forum takes of a bit then i might consider moving it

.co.cc domain is already not working :/

Theme needs alot of improvement, you need a domain and need to get off of forumotion. other than that it could be good.

Just by taking a quick glance at the index and going through the announcements forum I see you have a good amount of spelling and grammar mistakes. You are trying to run a webmaster forum, but yet you and your forum don't qualify to be one because you are using a free forum host and a free domain. Nothing about your forum is unique. A webmaster forum has a good software being used along with a friendly design and layout, and they are very organized. I am not going to lie here, you probably just decided to want to make it by seeing the success of other webmaster/admin forums. Its probably that phase people go through such as when promotion forums were popular, then hosting, now seems to webmaster/administration forums.

i actually like the webmaster forum genre so its not just that
when i get 5000 posts i might move of forumotion and for the domain i be getting a .com soon

How can i improve the theme

-- 22 May 2011, 13:19 --

Also Advertisehotspot was on forumotion they where doing great as a promotion forum(kinda like a webmaster forum)
