What would be your favorite holiday out of the year? It could be anything from a local holiday, to a national holiday, or something that is unique.

Mine would be U.S. Thanksgiving.

I live in India, my favorite holiday places are in Kerala, backwater, house boating and a lot more fun. I used to go to Kerala for a week time in November which is the best season for holidays there.

Gotta go with Christmas as it's the only Holiday I officially don't have to work on and I still get paid for it. 😛 That way, I can actually spend time with family which is nice. 🙂 I unfortunately work in retail, so I don't really enjoy Thanksgiving anymore. :\ Especially since I had a bad experience on Thanksgiving last year thanks to this one customer... >_>

Christmas. As annoying as it is when the Christmas songs and products come out before Summer has barely ended, I just love all the things that usually only come with Christmas, such as all the decorations, the advent calendars, the Christmas cookies and chocolates, etc. No other holiday besides Easter really does that as much.

Diwali Holidays. I want spend all the time with my family and go for shopping with friends.

Christmas is usually a feel good time of year for me, but also contains mixed emotions at times.

Day of the dead. it is a Mexican holiday and one that I've grown to like and maybe even idolise because few times I've been able to truly experience all it involves.

it is hard to explain why I like it, it is a weird thing to like specially as a child, but I've liked it since I heard of it. The whole idea of preparing a feast for your loved ones, celebrate their lives in a positive light. You also get to make poems about how your friends are going to get death (character) coming to their door. Those are very clever and funny little poems and I love the idea of being able to laugh about something that will reach everyone. It is a holiday that helps us accept it and even exalt it. We Mexicans are a bunch a weirdos sometimes. 😛

Other than that, Christmas is a holiday I have fond memories with family, so if I am o choose an international one, that would be it. Warm home made drinks. Turnkey or Cheapo-express salads it doesn't matter as much as having family staying over and sharing their stories and stuff. It is surreal.

Christmas for me too. The holiday cheer and the overall general good mood the Christmas holidays brings is always so nice. 🙂

So, if one likes Christmas, would you celebrate it in July? 😀
I for one, would.

Summer Xmas is a reality for many people. In the southern hemisphere celebrating in July would help the chances to make a winter holiday out of it. 😛

Christmas is my favourite holiday I just love spending the day with family eating and getting drunk.
