I have my site on Lunarpages, been using them for 2 years and never had any problems.
 
I host all of my websites on MediaTemple with their (dv) extreme server. I also ran their Nitro server for two months but just didn't see any noticeable difference between the extreme and the $700 a month Nitro.

I started out with (mt) back when they first released their grid server, eventually making my way out of that into a (dv). Their support is second to none.
 
I used hostgator back years ago and yes, they were decent. Speaking of decent hosting providers if you can find a great deal such as the old 777 promo, dreamhost.com is unbeatable.

I once hosted a popular Coast to Coast AM Forum on their servers and we would regular have 100+ active users online every night as the show was going on live.
