Unless your computer system is running in Ubuntu, more likely you are using a licensed operating system. Our home desktop is still on Windows XP with the license given as a gift by one computer dealer. From what I remember, the only other software that is licensed is the Cubasis, an audio software to make music that was also a gift from a cousin. Other than that, all the software in our desktop are freeware. Do you buy licensed software for your computer?
I highly suggest you upgrade your PC. Windows XP is extremely out-of-date and is no longer supported by Microsoft. You should at least be on Windows 10 by now. Also that is the OS I am currently using.
