Your Opinion on A Small Orange(ASO)

I had a friend who used them, and he said they were pretty reliable and overall an pretty awesome host.

Looking at their prices I think they are pretty competitive for what they offer. My friend said their support was slow at times, almost 1 day slow, however other than that I don't think he had issues. He moved to Bluehost since ASO was having issues with his website. 😛

Quite interesting he moved to bluehost since they are owned by the same company. That being said, support wasn't THAT SLOW(but slower than what I preferred) . I left them due to instability and poor performance on their servers to the point my site was down repeatedly for several hours.

I am currently using them for my forums, and so far I really enjoying their services. I'm using their shared hosting, and their servers have been pretty stable. There are a couple times where I could not access my forum because of my webhost, but their support definitely makes up for because of their instant support chat. They were able to fix my problems in no time! Really impressed with them!

I have never heard of A Small Orange, so I checked them out. Their Shared plans seem way overpriced for what users are actually getting. The Business plans seem overpriced too. Reseller plans aren't too bad and are comparable to other established hosts.

The VPS and Dedi prices don't seem to be too bad either, I like how they have multiple options around the same price point too. Overall, A Small Orange looks good for people using VPS/Dedi/Reseller, but a bit too expensive for the average webmaster using Shared hosting.

I have never used ASmallOrange but for a company who is owned by EIG They have been the only company to not completely go downhill they are staying relatively stable.

Compare that to the Arvixe, or Host Gator Acquisition both disasters after moving to the EIG Datacenter.
