Your opinion on the Freemasons

Aren't they associated with illuminati? I'm not entirely sure, I think my step grandpa is one, he never told me anything about it so I'm not entirely sure.
Bit of a controversial topic for FP, this one. Well, I know a little about the subject from connections that I have. Given perhaps from the link in my signature, also, you might suspect that I'm against the whole power and control thing.
I believe Freemasons to be extremely powerful, especially in the upper degrees. People who don't agree with conspiracy theorists are going to have a heart attack here, and that's OK - I might just be a nutter who believes random crap. But I have reasons for my beliefs, and people have told me things in confidence. They have much influence on media, have very easy access to money when they need it and it's a seriously big underground secret society.
New World Order, Bloodlines, Illuminati, Freemasonry and the Zionist Elitists are all linked. And many of you will turn your noses up at this, as you have been brought up to think it's all so ridiculous; we all have. In fact, most people will laugh when they even hear the word conspiracy.
Re: fiona1964, Wikipedia articles are good for some things - for Freemasonry and conspiracy theories, mostly they are not. It's very difficult to provide a balanced viewpoint so Wikipedia tends to allow a more slanted viewpoint from the perspective of those who disagree with the ideas. i.e. they will not actually discuss the reason to believe the conspiracies, the ideology behind the conspiracy themselves, etc. etc.
Continuing on... I have family members, and friends with relations, that have been part of both Amnesty and Freemasonry. I've gathered a lot of information from very reliable sources and balanced it out with information that is freely available to everyone on the internet to form my opinions. I don't quite go as far as David Icke and believe in a reptilian control system, but there's a lot more to "stuff" than you think.
The UK government is a cooperation that works for money. It, and its members, are just paid to provide puppetry for the public. There are people much, much higher that control what goes on, the media we view, the education our children receive, the way our police force run... in fact, it is of no surprise that there were 5,000 police officers onsite at the Royal Wedding. After all, the Royal Family are just another group of elitist scumbags and are very tightly linked to the government.
Police are called police because they are policy holders; they seek to enforce the policies of the government. The policies of the government, however, are hindered by a Common Law system. This goes on, but in essence the UK government is just a huge money-making cooperation that enslaves persons. Not people. "Person" is a legal fiction; your name in capital letters is your legal person. That is not a human being, that is a person who has registered their person with the government.
But I digress - there is much dictatorship in our society. Democracy is simply the freedom to elect our own dictators, except it is not even that - it is the freedom to elect who we think are our dictators. Really it's groups like the Freemasons that have the power up there at the top.

My grandfather is a member, and he is one of the longest standing members in Tennessee. I personally would like to follow into his footsteps and join the Freemasons one day as well. Some of America's great founding fathers were Freemasons such as George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, etc; they were all Freemasons. I believe they are definitely a force of good.
Jonathan I think you are confusing the Masons with the Bilderberg Group. If you are looking for a conspiracy, you'll find one there.
Where as the Masons often include a good deal of influential community members, they also have a lot of "common folk". I know quite a few of them and I am quite sure they are not plotting the exploitation and slavery of the free world.

I am aware of the Bilderberg Group, but I was definitely talking about Masons - given the research I've done, I don't think I could really just get these "confused". As for your latter paragraph, it tends to be the higher degrees of Freemasons that are involved in the more sinister tasks and are, as a result, more powerful.mikehawk said:

I've heard various conspiracy theories regarding the Masons and these theories are at odds with the good intentions and charitable work that the Masons talk about on their own websites. To the best of my knowledge I don't know any Masons myself and I don't know where the truth lies in relation to what they get up to.
By all means, the lower degrees of Freemasons do charity work and often even have good intentions - you'll find, however, that the people at the top have the most power, influence and authority that are used for bad reasons.Fergal said:

The FreeMasons say that anyone is welcome to visit their buildings and to meet with and talk to them. They say that they are open about what they do and that their secrets are based around how they recognise each other.
I find it strange when people say that the normal members of the FreeMasons don't know what is going on at the top of the organisation, but yet claim that they do. If the organisation is evil at it's higher level, I would suspect that the members of the organisation would know more about that than people who have never been members.

I spent hours, days, weeks, and even a few months at a time reading about masonry. I found people who believed they were evil and others who claimed to be masons that were of good nature. I was so confused due to the double reputation that followed masonry so I decided to do some digging and what better way than video games? So I decided to make a character on a game called "Guild Wars" that was given the alias "I Am a Mason" to see if I got any attention. At first, I just had a few people asking if I was truly a mason and I went along with it seeking more information but found nothing. One day a guy by the alias of "Teodor Eyeless" sent me a whisper (Like a pm) and began speaking to me. He was very kind but also very short and I could tell he was trying to pry information out of me just like I was trying to do with him. He was being very secretive so I decided to be straight forward and asked, "What grade are you?" Meaning what level of mason are you. He replied back saying that he wasn't a Mason. Once again I felt like I was wasting my time and then he sent me another whisper saying he would message me the next day. So I got on the next day and waited for him to get on for about an hour and he finally did. A few moments later I get a guild invite from "Masons of Ascalon"

You won't see me on the member list because I haven't played in ages and sold my Guild Wars account. It's just an interesting story which ended making me believe that masons are good people. You can read a few quotes that I suppose are important to "Teodor Eyeless" on the guild page.
I've thought about going to a mason lodge for more information but never got the nerve to actually do it. I've seen two lodges here in Texas. One in Frisco and one in Dallas (I took a picture of it because I was so fascinated by masonry at the time.)
So people who are saying they are evil, that's fine, it's your opinion... but I'm sure you developed your opinion from the media, youtube videos, and etc. There's no true way of knowing, I guess. I just know my experience was a good one with the people I did encounter. If you play Guild Wars try out what I did for yourself. 🙂

Thanks for the detailed reply Savvy, it makes for interesting reading. Do you believe what "Teodor Eyeless" told you when he said he wasn't a Mason?
